Am I carrying a baby boy? (Pic)

I went for my gender scan early (15 weeks) and this was the potty shot they gave me after they told me I'm pregnant with a baby boy. My gut instinct at first was girl but then started leaning towards boy but was still shocked when they said baby boy!

So my question is, does this scan photo look like a definite boy to you?

I'd say so, it's like my potty shot 💙 congratulations 😊

They don't usually say bit unless they're sure it's a boy - because they've seen the important bits!

Congratulations, baby boys are awesome x

Whats a potty shot?

MrsC87 · 11/04/2019 15:31

@HamCheeseHamnCheese a picture from underneath of bum, legs and bits x

@MrsC87 Thanks, didnt know that was a thing! (sorry, 1st pregnancy over here and only 18 weeks)

Do they do that as standard on the NHS 20 week scan? Or only private gender reveal scans?

Asking because we don't want to know the gender, we want the surprise. I have my 20 week scan coming up and hoping not to see something that will give it away!

They do it if they can at 20 weeks and if you ask them to. Most sonographers will tell you to look away if they are looking at something obvious when scanning if you don't want to know

When I had my son's 20week scan it was clear from looking at the screen he was a boy so it might not 100% be a surprise unless you don't look.
