So last week I found out I was pregnancy I was so over the moon but a few days before that I was experiencing some pain in shoulder and in my tummy so I called the doctors and was sent to the hospital to find I was indeed pregnant but couldn't see anything on the scan :/ over the course of the week they did bloods 48hrs apart and my levels have been rising just short of doubling I've got a scan on Friday and I'm still in discomfort but because I'm not bleeding or screaming the place down I fell there not taking me seriously has anybody else ever had this the pain I'm in is varying on both side but more so my left

How far gone are you?

The wait is frustrating but they are following the correct procedure.

If the pain is varying between sides that would not usually be indicative of an ectopic pregnancy. Also the pain is usually more than what most would call discomfort.

It sounds like they're keeping an eye on you, as is the right thing to do until they know something more definitive. I hope you get some good news on Friday, but if your symptoms do get worse then contact the EPU straight away.

I have no idea how far I am from the dates of my last period they had me at 6 weeks but they also said I could of ovulated later than normal the problem is I'm used to a lot of pain I have pcos and I do suffer with the pain so now I feel like I don't know what pain is normal and what isn't the most pain is on my left and when I explained to the doctors they said the right side can be referred pain I have 2 children already and I don't rember having any of this with there pregnancies it's so worrying as from what I was told you only get shoulder tip pain if an ectopic had ruptured and the bleed irritated the muscle but I've not bled at all just pain

If your tube had ruptured they'd be able to see it, and honestly, you'd know about the pain.

Ectopics can be very difficult to diagnose because the symptoms are so random. They can only monitor you until they have something more definite to go on. I really do understand your concern but am not sure what you want them to do before the scan.

That's were my thoughts they said in the scan and from my hormone levels it's to early to see anything my hormone levels were for a lady who would be maybe 2-3 weeks and I haven't had any bloods since Saturday so I have no idea what they would be now hoping Friday will shed some light as one nurse was giving me hope and the other was more doom and gloom sort of thing I mean can you have should pain in early pregnancy and lower back and front pain everything I've tried to look for takes you straight to ectopic so it worries me so much that the longer I'm left the worse the outcome
