Apologies if this is in the wrong part of the forum!

Anyone had any experience with taking baby to a cranial osteopath?

What was your experience and did you see a difference in baby?

Looking for recommendations near Manchester too for a good cranial osteopath!

Thanks

I personally haven't, but the family i used to nanny for took their new born (she was about a month and a half) and it made a huge difference with her colic.
I'm planning on taking mine when baby is born... I only see it as beneficial.

We took DS when he was a toddler because of ENT problems - he was born back to back so got a bit squashed. It helped a lot, physically and emotionally (visibly more relaxed and sleeping more deeply) so I would definitely recommend it if you think there is something they might be able to help with. The difference is very subtle but definitely there. If you can't find someone in Manchester ours is in Kendal and specialises in children.

Thanks for the above it’s great to read positive stories and experiences.

Yeah it’s for colic related. Though Colic seems to be a very broad number if issues Hmm

He doesn’t seem to sleep very well & is wincing during sleep like he’s in pain amongst other things so I’m hoping he gets some relief from it all.

I have found a place 40 minutes away and have booked him in tomorrow - will post to let you know how it goes.

Yes. Was at wits end as dd wouldn't sleep on anything but us, cried a lot, and was generally miserable.

The CO literally put his hands over her head and she went from as stiff as a board to slumped and rested into me. I stil remember the feeling 20+ years later. After that she was so much happier and far more settled.

I hope your session goes well.

I took him today for a consultation & they treated him for silent reflux & pressure on the head after going through everything with myself & checking him over.

He does seem so much calmer this evening but whether it’s like an after effect like it is for us after a massage or acupuncture session.. I don’t know yet. He calmed right down when she started treating him at the clinic bless him.

I have booked him for another session for next week - she recommended one more & then maybe in a few months time to check his progress etc which I was more than happy to do so time will tell.

It’s good to read both positive and not so positive stories about it but I’ve always been a sort of person that prefers to get to a root of a problem as opposed to just treating with off the shelf remedies etc so I think this has been an insightful experience.

Will keep you posted!!
