Hi ladies, I have my 12 week scan on Monday and I'm debating whether to tell work before or after the scan. Reason being Aslong as all is okay we are going to tell family and friends on Monday. I am worried someone will post something on Facebook and work will find out that way. I don't want to make an announcement but maybe just tell my manager so shut has the heads up before hand
What you all think? Xx

Well I told my boss the week I found out, simply because I knew I'd have to go for extra drs appointments and stuff because of other health stuff, but im not planning on announcing it till I've told all the rest of my family, so it will be well agyee 12 weeks I imagen. If you don't want your family to say anything, tell them very clearly that they are not to post anything anywhere, until you have your self. Your family should respect your wishes because it is your news to share not theres. Also I was worried about this with my mum, but she's actually done so well since I've told her so they might come off better than you think.

Yeah I'm really not fussed about work colleagues and how they find out. I don't plan on doing an announcement for work lot. So happy for them to find out via Facebook. But just thought out of courtesy I should tell my boss prior.
Thanks for your advice Smile
