Excessive discharge

Sorry for the TMI post. Since becoming pregnant, I have had excessive discharge. Last night I had really strange stomach ache, feeling sick for hours without being sick and then feeling very very weak all day. Today I've had that much discharge that I've gone through my knickers and it's wet my leggings. I'm not sure if these are related, but it's making me worry. Should I be, or is this normal?
I'm 19 weeks so trying to take all ideas of waters leaking out of my head!

This sounds like me! I’m 15 weeks and some days have so much discharge, midwife and mother in law (ex community midwife) said it was normal in some pregnancies- and that it will likely stay throughout the pregnancy and get worse towards the end.
I didn’t have this in my first pregnancy!
It sounds like sickness feeling unrelated to discharge, so I wouldn’t worry, see how you’re feeling tomorrow.
Do you know what gender your having?
I’m convinced it’s a girl as didn’t have all this sickness and crazy discharge with DS!!!

I have this, from what I’ve read it’s completely normal and a common pregnancy symptom!

I have to change my panty liner half way through the day!

I did have this and had a positive swab for BV! A course of anti biotics sorted it out. Anything unusual is worth checking I think

Thanks for the replies

I don't know what I'm having, we aren't finding out so can't help with the guessing on girl or not - sorry!

Glad to see I'm not alone. I'll mention it to the midwife when I go next week. Just can't believe there is so much! I thought I'd wet myself!

@Cosmogirl86 can BV be harmful to baby?

Stormwhale · 10/04/2019 09:05

I thought with bv there was a strong smell?

I have a lot of discharge through this pregnancy, but no smell, burning, itching etc so I have assumed all is fine.

Cosmogirl86 · 10/04/2019 09:15

I had very little smell, but lots of discharge and swelling in vulva. I think it can cause issues with babies if untreated for a long time

Stormwhale · 10/04/2019 10:36

Did you go to the gp Cosmo or did your midwife help you with it?

Cosmogirl86 · 10/04/2019 15:58

I went to my GP. I rarely see my midwife as I am under consultant led care.

It was all pretty simple. A swab was taken from entrance of vagina, results in two days and a five day course of antibiotics.

My discharge substantially decreased after treatment

HamCheeseHamnCheese · 10/04/2019 16:26

Thanks, @Cosmogirl86. I'm going to make a GP appt. I thought it was normal.

Cosmogirl86 · 10/04/2019 16:52

I think increased discharge in pregnancy most likely is normal! I also had vulva swelling as mentioned, and some pain. But I think anything unusual is worth a quick check up
