Elective C-Section, To Birth Plan or Not?

I've been told by friends that I should write a birth plan even though I am having an elective c-section (my second). So I had a look at the template on the NCT website and as I read through the long list of requirements, I couldn't help but feel that it was a) A bit OTT for me personally and may possibly just irritate my carers? and b) Would just on the whole be ignored.
What are people's experiences of this?
I didn't make one the first time and the hospital staff were amazing regarding offering skin to skin, photos, immediate breastfeeding etc. Was that a fluke?

All of those things were offered as standard for me. Perhaps it’s worth just having a little think do you want students in the room? That’s something I specified in my birth plan and actually about the only thing I specified.

I’m really interested to hear peoples views on this too. My birthday plan first time was a bit vague but definitely helped but not sure whether to bother this time for an elective section?

Did a birth plan for my first however it all went out the window, with my second I was having an elective C Sec so never crossed my mind to do one the only things I made sure they know I wanted was skin to skin and breastfeeding with this one I will ask for the same and I've also made a playlist to calm my nerves.

You could write a short list of birth preferences :) you don’t need to write a massive plan or follow a template.
