Hi,
I'm 19wks with first baby and just feel sad/lonely/like a burden/fat/ugly and anxious. I've not come here for attention or looking for compliments i just want to know if this is normal??
I seem fine during the day but in the evenings on my own i just start to cry every now and then out of the blue, or i make myself feel bad and therefore cry. Im guessing this is my hormone monster playing games with me, but just thought I'd see if I else feels/felt like this?

:) thank you

Hey, I had this on and off. Sometimes I would feel really happy other times I would feel pretty anxious about how my life is going to change. For me, it did pass I would speak to midwife to see if any support is available. Can you keep yourself busy doing things in the evening? Reading? Prepping nursery?x

It's hormones hun it'l pass , then it'l
Come back and then go again. It's a roller coaster ride but totally worth it just remember it's only temporary. Concentrate on things that make u feel good , a nice walk with some music followed a nice bath and face mask usually sorted my moods out . Or getting my hair done / looking for cute maternity stuff on eBay etc .

This was me last week! I am now 20+1 but last week I felt like an absolute whale. I felt so ugly and unattractive. I was very emotional with it too. I went to the gym in an attempt to get some happy hormones surging but after my work out just sat in the car and cried as felt so big.

I do feel better this week and have most definitely put it down to hormones.

It's just a blip. It won't last forever xx

I’m 21 weeks with first baby and have been feeling the same. I’d recommend treating yourself to an outfit that flatters your new body. It really cheered me up to know that I can look good even if I’m not feeling it all the time. Hope you pick up x

Thank you, it's just frustrating as im in the cant tell if its 'bump or fat' stage so i can still wear my normal but scruffy/baggy clothes but feel gross. And maternity stuff is all too big or makes me look massive :( im defo not getting that glow Haha!! But hopefully just a bad week and be feeling happy next week! Thank you ladies

Yeah, I have good days and bad days. Some days I swear the bump is way bigger than other days so I feel huge. I just make myself feel better by putting on make up (a brace face) every morning and getting my hair and nails done once a month.
