Hi Ladies,

Wondering if you could give me some opinions...

I have tested positive today, but am a little concerned as my last period started 19th March, it was a couple days late and lighter than usual but never the less seemed like a period.

I have been tired, and felt a little sick but nothing major.

I’m just concerned, would the test show a positive this early? I test with a first response.

The test is rather a clear positive, more than happy to post a picture of the test I just can’t work out how to do it haha.

Thanks for help in advance Ladies

The period in March sounds like implantation bleed maybe? Or maybe not! Either way, a positive pregnancy test only means one thing.... congratulations!

Thank you for getting back to me onemoremummy!! Me and my partner have just moved in to a new home, so everything is at the right time!

Agree with @onemoremummy - First Response are pretty darn reliable. Take another tomorrow morning to be sure and book yourself a doctors appointment! You could also try a clear blue digital to get an idea how many weeks you are. Congratulations

I think your last 'period' was an implantation bleed. It happened to me on both pregnancies. The bleeds were at the right time that my period was due and were fairly heavy (like a normal period, definitely not just spotting), but a bit shorter than normal.

Hi thanks for the responses!!

So because we have been TTC we had a few boxes of pregnancy tests in the house. The test I thought I took was first response (the one you can take 6 days before your periods due) iv checked and the one I actually took is the rapid response which says to take from the day you miss your period, iv since taken one of the first response (test 6 days before periods due) and that's also positive!!

I did call the doctors this afternoon and asked to be booked in to get the pregnancy confirmed, they said they no longer do that I just need to go in and fill in the forms and a midwife will contact me.

Eeeeek so exciting!! Thank you so much for the responses xx

Make sure you tell them you’re not sure about your last period, this way they might send you for an earlier scan to have the pregnancy dates!

Thanks @onemoremummy.

I took a clear blue weeks indicator test this morning, that was positive and came back 2-3 weeks. I'll give doctors another call today
