I'm interested to know if strong Braxton hicks/ tightenings in the 3rd Trimester lead to shorter, sharper labours?

Do women who never feel a twinge have longer labours?

Is this a load of rubbish... there should be enough women here to get a fairly good idea......

ds1 - no twinges - 2hr labour.
ds2 - BH's from 20wks, severe BH's from about 25wks, in hospital overnight for steriods at around 30wks just in case (BH's by that stage 4/5/6 an hour) - 15min labour.

i had loads of braxtons hicks and a very long labour (2 and a half days)

ds - no bh, born after 5 hour-ish(reasonably easy) labour
dd - few bh - born after quick, v easy (depending on measurements c 2.5 hour) labour

no BH at all in either. DS1 8hrs, no pain relief, DS2 1hr 45mins, a couple of puffs of G&A.

Twingeless with ds, monster 2-day labour (from first contaction).

This time (31 weeks) had my first BH at about 21 weeks, a brief bout of contractions too and have had lots of BH/tightenings/the occasional painful twinge - and am obv hoping for shorter labour

I never had Braxton Hicks and had a 5 hour labour.
