Hello!

I am 18+4 and at my last midwife appt she asked me if I have felt anything yet.

I said I hadn’t and to be honest don’t know what I am looking out for. She said it might feel like butterflies, or a ‘pinging sensation’.

The last couple of days I have had some movement but it feels almost slightly painful - well not painful but a little uncomfortable, twinge style sensation.

In fact, the only way I could describe it is... that feeling when you’ve eaten something dodgy and you get a twinge in your lower belly and you think that you might be running to the nearest loo in a minute!! 🙈🙈

Do you think this is my first feelings of baby’s movement? Or just something else...? I wasn’t expecting it to feel this way really.

Sounds like it. Mine was a bubbling feeling like when u get so cold and your tummy starts to shiver. Very early days it felt like a muscle spasm really down low.

Yeah that sounds like it could be baby. I first felt my baby at around 17 weeks and it honestly felt like gas bubbles (like I needed a big pump!)
Now it's more noticeable. He kicks and then sometimes wriggles about before more kicks and punches to the bladder haha

Yeah I’d describe it as feeling like your digesting Christmas dinner!
Not painful like ‘ouch’ but an uncomfortable sensation!
With ds1 I got them about 18wks but wasn’t sure, by 20weeks it was really obvious!

Yes both of these are exactly how I would describe it!

Oh I’m excited that it’s likely I am feeling baby!
I wasn’t sure and was expecting a different kind of feeling.
