When do morning sickness come on?

Just asking you ladies when this usually comes on if it happens?

Any other symptoms the first trimester usually? I'm only about 5 weeks FLMP and the only symptoms I've had is feeling really breathless, like I can't get enough air when breathing. I'm also quite tired but this is normal as I usually wake up at 5am for the gym before work, and I've continued this so far. So I can't put that down to pregnancy 😄

My morning sickness started at 5 weeks but got a lot worse by 7 weeks. Some people don’t get any sickness and have lovely pregnancies. Hopefully you’ll be one of those who has a lovely 9 months 🙂 x

First pregnancy sailed along quite merrily until 8 weeks when I was suddenly hit with the most godawful nausea and vomiting- eventually diagnosed with HG - basically spent the following 12 weeks lying down desperately trying to keep down water. This time nausea kicked in at 6 weeks and I began vomiting at about 7/8 weeks but it's not been so bad this time. At its worst I was sick about 4 times a day and now I'm 12 weeks it's only once or twice.

iklboo · 07/04/2019 18:35

I never had any. A little nausea in the first few weeks but it settled with tea and toast.

kgeal3 · 07/04/2019 18:40

Mine has always hit me dead on 6 weeks x

Cosmogirl86 · 07/04/2019 20:40

I never had vomiting, but I was nauseated b between 5-13 weeks. Some days were better than others, I could go for days without feeling bad then it would hit me!

ChrisPrattsFace · 07/04/2019 21:06

Sick from the day after I found out, 5 weeks it got bad, 9 weeks it peaked and I was in and out of hospital, now 18 weeks and still vomiting twice a day minimum!

BikeRunSki · 07/04/2019 21:08

Anytime or never.
Usually around 6-8 weeks

Sessy19 · 07/04/2019 21:11

Oh GOD @Chris.... I’ve felt nauseous since the day after I found out, intermittent. It got steadily worse from about 8wks and now I’m literally holding it all in nearly all day. I wake at 2-3am feeling sick, and I’m going to bed generally with nausea. Only commuting twice a day max, and not every day.
I cannot bear the thought of it continuing into second tri.... FAAAAAAAAACKS SAKE!!!

Yakadee · 08/04/2019 03:37

I was quite lucky. Hit at 6 weeks and went by 12 weeks (both times) x

SunStruck · 08/04/2019 06:11

I'm 25 weeks and had no sickness so it may not come at all.

SherlockSays · 08/04/2019 06:44

I didn't have a single bout of sickness in my pregnancy, not everyone gets it.

vegpatch · 08/04/2019 06:46

Nausea from before I knew I was pregnant, vomiting from 5 weeks, continually until 4 months. Mum, aunty and cousin never had a moment's sickness.

Chanel05 · 08/04/2019 07:34

I'm 8 weeks today and I've had nausea since I was 5 weeks. The nausea lasts from the moment I wake up until the moment I sleep. If I get up in the night I'm hit by nausea immediately. I'm off a lot of food and can't bare the thought of most things.

PhoebeBear · 08/04/2019 08:26

@SunStruck I never really had morning sickness I would say as it didn't happen enough for me, I had two occasions around the 11th week where I woke up, showered, would feel sick and throw up straight after. Every other time I would just feel sick but this all stopped I think around week 15 😊

kgeal3 · 08/04/2019 14:33

@Chanel05 oh you sound like me. I even dream in feeling sick. I get up for the toilet in the night and it hits me the second I wake. I'm so miserable and down with it. I know I'm lucky to be pregnant at all but this sickness feeling all day everyday is draining every ounce of energy I have out of me. I'm 12+4 and it started dead on week 6. I've had enough now 😭

HayleyHaystack · 08/04/2019 21:00

I’m almost 28 weeks and haven’t had any sickness once. Considering I’ve got a really sensitive stomach and can usually throw up easily with a bad headache or travel, I was very surprised! But nothing, maybe odd bit of slight nausea that settled with eating something or lying down for half hour but that’s as far as it’s got.

Astrid0208 · 08/04/2019 21:02

I never had any, fingers crossed for you!

Unescorted · 08/04/2019 21:07

I wasn't nauseous bit Dear God I was tired. I could fall have fallen asleep anywhere. Waiting for buses, at my desk, in meetings, in cafes waiting for food, while driving, while eating dinner... sat down, stood up I could not keep my eyes open for the whole pregnancy.

SunStruck · 09/04/2019 01:41

Thanks for sharing guys!!😄hopefully I'm one of the lucky non queasy ones... got so many trips coming up (wedding etc I need to fly for,hen dos)...

Well some people don't even get morning sickness. I always thought it was just a general part of pregnancy until I got pregnant with my own and was lucky enough to only have it for the first week or two of finding out. Everyone's different honey x

ChrisPrattsFace · 09/04/2019 09:06

@Sessy19
Honestly it is awful. I am enjoying the whole thing a lot more and luckily once I’m asleep I’m out of sickness till the next morning.
No one else in my family has ever had any sickness, they all think I’m faking till I projectile across their kitchens (I also occasionally have no warning pre vomit, it’s great 👍🏼) 😂

Lhmm · 09/04/2019 10:27
