WWYD - early pregnancy bleed

Hi there
I'm just after some advice really. I'm 5+5 weeks pregnant and have had two light bright red bleeds (one weds & one yesterday) and lots of v light brown discharge in between. I have spoken to the doctor on Wednesday. He basically said try not to worry as could just be implantation bleeding or it will get heavier & turn into a MC. I understand this but I don't know what to do about the weekend as it hasn't stopped nor got heavier. He told me to wait a few days and pregnancy test again. Should I just wait it out test on Tues (seven days since first bleed) or should I ring 111 and see about an early scan as I'm going to be 6 weeks on Sunday.

My partner is not bothered really Sad So I just need help and a WWYD as I don't want to go to the NHS as I've already spoken to a doctor. But I thought I would know by now i.e. heavier or stopped.

I guess I know I should just wait. I still have some symptoms but I assume they don't go away immediately.

I had a bleed at a similar time and went to EPAU at my hospital, they checked my cervix to make sure it was closed and booked me in for a scan at 6+1 for reassurance.

My light bleeding went on for 12 days until it turned into a proper miscarriage if that makes sense. I was scanned but only after 8 days of light brown spotting.

Thanks for your responses. I guess I'll just wait it out until it either stops or goes to miscarriage.

At a similar time I went to epu. They did an internal scan to rule out eptopic. It’s too early to be looking for a heart beat at that stage. They took bloods 48 hours apart which confirmed that the pregnancy was failing.

I had a miscarriage at 5 1/2 weeks. It was more straightforward for me as the bleeding was quite heavy on the second day so I didn't even ring the doctor as I don't think they scan before 6 weeks usually. I think do the pregnancy test and go from there. I think people can miscarry in many ways so it might just be yours (if it is a mc) is slow. But... I had three bleeds with my daughter and she's a nearly three year old now! So I guess when you do get to 6 weeks and you're still bleeding (with positive pregnancy test) then do ask for that scan. Fingers crossed for you x
