Lack of movement 24 weeks

Hi all,
I’ve only posted on here a couple of times and haven’t really got a reply so hoping someone has some thoughts! :) I’m 24+4 today and have a partially anterior placenta - it’s covering my right front and back. The babies movements are really subtle and I got checked last week when hadn’t felt much. All was fine and midwife told me that babies movements would be very irregular until more like 26 weeks. My own midwife told me to expect a pattern from 24 which I wouldn’t say I have atm. Is it normal for movements to still be quite light and sporadic? I have only really felt flutters so far and one solid kick a few days ago. Any advice would be appreciated :)) x

Babies are still relatively tiny at this stage and can flip around all over the show. They should start to have a regular pattern being established between 24-28 weeks.

Perhaps ring your midwife to see if you can pop in so they can listen in for you.

Thank you I thought that might be the case! Don’t want to be a bother if it’s quite normal x

No it takes a few minutes for a listen in, if you’re worried why not give the triage a ring and ask if you can pop up for some reassurance. They won’t judge you for it, plus if it would give you peace of mind then it’s worth it.

I was the same, even during a scan could see baby moving around kicking arms and legs and could feel nothing. I think maybe at 26 weeks I started to feel kicks more regularly but even now still some days I struggle to feel his movement. If I get worried I have a cold drink and go lie down and have to really focus on trying to feel the baby move before I can feel any kicks.

I’m got some movement going, I just lay down for a bit and baby got going :) thank you for your replies x
