Hi, please can you share your experience if you had brown bleeding at 5-6 weeks? Not constant, starts and stops, very light and definitely brown not red. I am anxious due to two prior miscarriages (thought I’ve had a baby since them so am capable of a successful pregnancy also) thank you in advance x

I had spotting at 6 weeks. Just called my epau and self referred. Because of my previous miscarriage i could.
Got a scan the same day. Was actually 7+3 and we could see the small bleed on the scan, but everything was good.
Now 11+5 and all looking good. Had scan on Monday and I’m having a jumping squid 😁

Thanks, glad it worked out for you. I called my epu and they said I can go in and wait to be seen which I’ll havw to do. I have an 11 month old so it’ll be difficult if it’s a long wait

Hi,
I had very little brown blood spotting on/off for 10 days. Finally had a scan at what I thought should have been 11+ 4 and the internal exam showed only size of 6 weeks. I had prepared myself for the worst and unfortunately miscarried 5-6 days ago.

I think the whole brown blood thing is a bit off. A lot of people will tell you it’s implantation bleeding but many who have miscarried have started with the brown spotting. My midwife said the implantation bleeding should last no longer than 48 hours at the most. I’m really not sure what to think regarding it all. But I hope it all works out well for you xxx

Hi, so sorry to hear it wasn’t a more positive outcome for you. Hopefully tomorrow when I go to epu I’ll get an answer one way or another. It’s being in limbo that is the worst x

I had this at 9 weeks I was scanned and all was fine just old blood they said.

I’m 21 weeks now. So hopefully everything will be ok.

I had this on and off both my pregnancies; no apparent reason, just the way my body was. Always best to get it checked but doctor is likely to say that if the flow hasn't increased or become red, or accompanied by pains, within a day or so then not to worry. However you can push for a scan. In my case they also did an internal exam to check my cervix was still closed though I wouldn't recommend that. Hope everything is okay.

I have been pregnant 5 times, but only have 3 babies-2 were miscarriages at 11 and 6 weeks.

With all pregnancies, I had bleeding. Some red, some brown. The colour told me nothing helpful. I had bright red bleeding with one successful pregnancy and one miscarriage started with brown. I bled brown and red throughout my final (successful) pregnancy.

EPU was the only thing that was actually able to tell me what was going on in the end.

I had this on and from about week 5 to 9. It was fluid in the pouch of Douglas. Baby was fine.
