Ibuprofen in 1st trimester

Hi ladies
Just wondering if ibuprofen is a massive no no in the 1st trimester (7 weeks)

I am really struggling with a horrid head cold that paracetamol is barely touching and a 20 month old toddler, but I dont want to affect my baby

Can I take one dose just to help me in between paracetamol or should I just suck it up and lie here feeling sorry for myself?

Definite no no. Sorry OP. Ibuprofen works to reduce inflammation, which means it affects blood flow, thus increasing the risk of miscarriage.

Sending big hugs while you lie there feeling sorry for yourself.

No no.

I am prescribed naproxen (hardcore ibuprofen) for chronic pain and had to stop once we started TTC and then for the duration of the pregnancy. It was hard but worth it in the end.

Is it nasal congestion? A nasal wash might help

Sad thought that might be the answer

Its in my nose, front of my head and now seem to have pain going up the back of my neck into the back of my head. Applying pressure seems to ease it.

Have a saline spray for my nose but it's so congested and cant use the old reliable contac....

Doesn't help I am having to listen to caities amazing machines.... Grin
