Sore rash on lower legs, pregnancy related?

I've never suffered from dry skin or eczema but during my last trimester a dry, sore red rash has sprung up on my lower legs. Its pretty uncomfortable and can burn sometimes. The skin has gotten so dry and sore there are actually some specs of blood this morning. Particularly after baths.

I've been using e45 and soothing moisturiser but nothing is really helping.

Does this sound pregnancy related (PUPPS maybe)

Has anybody else developed similar?

I had PUPPS, it’s usually on thighs, lower abdomen and forearms. Very very itchy and looks like nettle rash. Creams didn’t help at all. I took Piriton for it but that didn’t help much either!

Not sure whether what you’re describing is PUPPS or not. You could ring your doctor, see what they think. They might give you a different cream to try. Cetraben is good IMO (you can get the cream from pharmacies, or there is an ointment version). They might even suggest a steroid cream, depending on what they think it is (I was prescribed Betnovate for a different skin condition to the Oupps during pregnancy).

Sorry, just seen your pic. That doesn’t look like PUPPS to me. Might be eczema. I’d talk to pharmacist/midwife/doctor and see what they suggest.

Thank you I'll pop into the chemist today and see what they advise.

I mentioned it to my midwife via the phone but she said it doesn't sound pregnancy related, I see her in a weeks time so I'll show her then.

I've looked on Google images and it does look somewhat like eczema which is odd as I've never suffered with that before.
