Hi everyone!

Currently 15 weeks and really struggling to start sleeping on my side. I've slept on my front for so long I just can't get to sleep any other way! Any tips for how to get to sleep on my side?

TIA!

Get one of those pregnancy pillows. They help. I've been having trouble sleeping on my left side and my physio in the maternity hospital told me it wasn't the be all and end all. As you get bigger it will become too uncomfortable to sleep on your back ( it makes me feel faint and hard to breathe, I turn over naturally, even in my sleep) and as your bump grows, sleeping on your front will become impossible. Try not to worry about it too much though.

Those wedge pillows they do to prop up your bump. Use it on the small of your back so you can't turn over, plus a body pillow to hug and put between your knees. I've never got out of the habit of body pillows, I can't sleep without one now, they're so comfortable.

Hi OP i am 27 + 2 and still managing to sleep on my front! Sometimes I wake up on my back or side but I don't worry too much about it my midwife said you can sleep on your front for as long as is comfortable. I tried to force myself to sleep on my side but just ended up not sleeping! I have got a maternity pillow which I have been using the last 2 nights which has helped my stay on my side though as baby is getting so big when I'm on my front sometimes it feels weird when he kicks and I'm wondering if he's telling me to move Grin

I sleep on my side naturally - but the wrong side according to the advice. I’m just going to go with the flow as I won’t sleep at all.

I've found my pregnancy pillow amazing. I now don't want to give it up, it's so comfy haha. Beforehand, I could only sleep on my back.

I sleep on my right side sometimes. I get carpal tunnel if I sleep on the left all the time. I do find that I get heartburn on the right though. Talk about lose:lose.

Body pillow helped me so much along with other pillows piled up in various positions. Other half slept in another room for most of the pregnancy because I needed the bed to myself to be honest. I’m a stomach sleeper too and the best thing about not being pregnant any longer is sleeping on my stomach again! 😂 for the first week or two I was scared to sleep on my stomach again as I thought the baby would get squished, had to remind myself that baby is here 😂

You might be able to get a doughnut shaped mattress topper - the pregnancy massage place I went to had one and it felt like heaven around 35 weeks. Had the baby 37+6
