anyone had strech marks appear after having baby ??had a nice s/mark free neat bump when i was pregnant .....now.....its s/mark central !

hi just wondered if any of you had smarks that appeared after having your babies?
i had a lovely neat bump with no strechmarks gave birth at 38+3
then as my tummy has stated shrinking back down all the marks have appeard?
boo!!!!!!!

i had this too, although they weren't too bad. Now that i'm expecting again, you can see them all, but they're all silvery, so must be old ones

I thought that I had a stretch mark free bump right up to the end and was really pleased with myself. I was gutted to find out that I had them at the end of my pg - I was so big that I couldn't see the areas when I had the stretch marks! Dh didn't like to set me straight when I was busy saying that I had no stretch marks (probably like telling someone yes your bum does look big in that! Dangerous with pregnant women hormones!!)

Got really smug about not having stretchmarks until I hit 35 weeks, then they started and didn't stop! Completely covered my tummy. Then when I had dd, a few days later they got slightly worse, and some also appeared on my boobs, bum, thighs and insides of my legs that weren't there during my pregnancy. Was distraught at the state of my purple streaked body post birth but she's worth it.

yep, me too! Not too many but still more than i thought AND they itch. I had asked DH to tell me if any appeared under the bump. He said he had no intention of telling me. Can't blame him - I whinged for a good couple of hours about my feet getting fatter...
