My combined screening test results back and it come back with 1 in 5000 for Downs and 1 in 157 for Edwards/Patau.

I know this is considered a low risk result as the cut off is 1 in 150 but its completely thrown me.

I started googling and I'm now convinced that my HCG levels are low and I'm going to have a late miscarriage.

I had three siblings born before 25 weeks, two of which lived for a short period. I wasnt particularly young at the time and I remember going to the hospital to see them and their funerals. I'm terrified it's going to happen to me.

Can anyone advise what the usual result for this area of combined screening is for someone over 35?

If this is causing you anxiety, do the harmony test privately. It's very accurate. I was fortunate enough it was free in my hospital as it was a teaching hospital with research centre but you can get it done. Not cheap but I'd do it now if I were pregnant again.

I was 1 in 200 due to age (39) but Harmony ruled it out completely.

I’d also say get the harmony done. It’s about £400 but will give you a straight answer quickly and less invasive then nhs testing.
Try not to focus on your siblings and what happen then, it may not impact your pregnancy and birth.
