Hello! I’m 15 weeks pregnant and my husband and I are currently trying to control a cat flea situation in our house. It’s not massively bad and only really affecting our kitten who now has a collar for 8 months and my husband has treated house whilst I’ve been at work and we try our best to keep on top of hoovering etc etc. I have had some bites though whilst pregnant on my legs mainly but a couple on my side. Are these dangerous? Blood is never drawn it’s just tiny white itchy lumps. I’m a bit worried x

Are you using vet strength treatments on your cat? Over the counter treatments can be ineffective

Yes we are now only recently!

you can buy advantage online from various places very good stuff. But unless you spray all the soft furnishings with a long acting flea spray such as indorex they wont go.I am pregnant as well personally i would get my man to spray the house wile i am out for the day .Such chemicals surely cant be a good thing

Advantage doesn't work for our cats. Nor did advocat. The comfortis tablets didn't work either. We're just about to try Bravecto spot on from the vet which is good for 3 months. We use Indorex spray - every 2 weeks until all the buggers are gone. Hoover daily, including under beds, skirting boards. Wash everything that can be washed - sofa covers, bedding, cushion covers etc. We've been battling this for months and spent hundreds! The flea bites aren't dangerous but I felt really shabby sending DS to school with loads and refusing play dates Sad
