I'm 24 weeks pregnant, first baby, anterior placenta.
I've been going in weekly for observations (high risk pregnancy) and am due to go in again tomorrow. I haven't felt any movement yet, midwife assured me it was due to the anterior placenta and said I'll feel stuff soo. That was at 20 weeks, so a month later and still nothing. Every week during obs they've checked the heartbeat and all has been fine. I'm struggling today I've barely slept as I just still don't feel pregnant, I'm convinced he's died in there, I've convinced myself this nearly every week and it's always been fine. I just need to wait until tomorrow but I want to run down there and hear him. I really thought I'd feel something by now.

Oh bless you, please don't stress! I'm 26 weeks tomorrow and didn't really start feeling much movement until this past weekend, and tbh that movement has been more like bubbles popping and pressure in my belly.
If at every appointment they are telling you everything is fine and you're on track, trust them, they know what they are on about! Try to relax, I know it isn't easy (I still don't really feel a connection to my pregnancy and this worries me, I'm seeing my mw today to talk about it)
I know I'm not offering any solid real advise, but please know, you aren't alone and there is a lot of people here for you to give virtual hugs xx

Hi there, not to worry too much! My placenta is in the front as well and also it is my first pregnancy, my doctor also mentioned not to worry if i don't feel movement until 20+ weeks or even later half of second trimester. Also, some babies move more and some move less than others.
I'm 20 weeks this Friday and I'm feeling slight fetal movement. Once you feel that first kick, it gets more and more intense by the day. Don't stress yourself out too much.

Hi chick, I didn't feel any movement till about 25-26 wks, so don't stress too much. You could buy a doppler thing for home use if that would put your mind at rest?

Thank you for the reassurance. I'll sit tight until my appointment tomorrow. Its just so hard to truly believe he's even in there sometimes Sad Every week I leave feeling reassured but it only lasts a few days and by the day or two before my next check I'm convinced somethings wrong again. I feel psychotic!
