38+4 woke up with back pain and can't move

Hi everyone!!

Just looking for a bit of advice. I'm 38+4 with Dd2. Booked in for ELCS on Friday due to previous CS. I know baby is fully engaged and back to back.

I started with back pain last night, didn't feel like labour pains at all just like very bad back pain when I moved, just put it down to baba being in a funny position.

Woke up at 4 this morning with a back pain like I have never felt in my life. couldn't move at all. Again doesn't feel like labour as it's only painful when I'm trying to move. DH managed to help get me in the bath which has eased the pain a bit but now back to square one. Can't move at all due to the pain. I have a rubbish pain threshold but have broken bones before and the pan is worse than that.

Has anyone had this and no what it could be? Any ideas on what to do?

Not had any symptoms of labour apart from a bit or bleeeing last week and D&V last week but all checked out and fine.

Thanks to any advice ladies xxx

No idea what it might be but if you cant move I would get to hospital. Ring the maternity triage unit where you are due to deliver

@Summer1986 Thanks for replying. I'm due on the 12th, but booked in this Friday for CSec at 39 weeks. Thanks will give triage a ring in a bit when I can get someone to help with DD1 xxx

I would suspect early labour (even if it doesn't feel like contractions) but you absolutely should insist you get checked over. Wishing you well.

How are you now?

@StripyDeckchair @CallMeCarolDanvers

Thanks both!!

Managed to wake my 2 year old up at 4 so bloody stressful morning. Went back to sleep for an hour and pain not as intense but really struggling to walk. Thinking baby must be sat on a nerve?

Xxx

I'd go in to the hospital if I were you. Just to be on the safe side.
