Post birth underwear or corset?

Hey.

Did any of you wear shape control underwear after birth or corsets to help your stomach post birth? If so how long after did you wait before wearing them

I bought a post natal support vest from Jojo Maman Bebe for dc2 after it felt like my insides were about to fall out after my first birth.

I really like it- it’s just tight enough so feels supportive rather than restrictive like standard shape-wear. It has breastfeeding clips as well which are handy.

I put it on the day after the birth and it was great- it wont flatten your stomach by any means, but made me feel more normal. That was three weeks ago and I still wear it when I want things to feel a bit smoother.

I waited a few weeks with my first, but shoved one on literally the next day with my second.

Really wish I hadn’t waited the first time- I hated that weird empty feeling and it’s definitely made a huge difference for my in terms of stomach flatness.

I also had the Jojo vest but had issues with the drop cup clips as they get twisted. I have a variety of different things now - some high waisted shape underwear, a hook and eye ‘sports corset’ and a waist cincher type thing, none postpartum specific, just found on eBay etc.
