I vaguely remember reading somewhere that if you're taking the seven seas prenatal there are other supplements you should be taking?
Does anyone know if that's true? If so, which additional supplements?

Is this for TTC or when pregnant? I'm still taking it as it's small enough for me to handle but it only has 50% RDA for vitamin D so I also have a haliborange chewy childrens' vitamin D tablet (which also has a bit of calcium) to make up the other 50%. Equally I have been eating a lot of breakfast cereal which is fortified so I probably don't need to!

There's no way I could take pregnacare or other big tablets so I'm sticking with this regime til the end. I found it easier to have a good balanced diet once the first trimester sickness/aversions/carbfest had gone as well.

Okay, thank you for the advice!

The only one the NHS recommends is 400mcg folic acid and 10mcg vitamin D. So if it has enough of both of those then it's fine.

At 17 weeks the folic acid is also no longer necessary so it's only the vitamin D amount you need to worry about :)

The TTC has 5mcg vitamin D so that's what I take the haliborange for, it's another 5mcg. I know Boots do folic acid and vitamin D tablets but I don't know how big they are Smile

Was told to switch to Pregnacare Max because the clinic found a genetic marker that made it unlikely I was absorbing all of the specific type of folic acid in Seven Seas. I preferred SS though as a tablet. Pregnacare makes me gag. Every bloody time.
