Bad nausea 6 weeks

Hi ladies, I'm currently 6 weeks pregnant and feel so so sick. Like constantly. I haven't actually being sick but it's starting to really get me down. I think it's the fact that I know it's more than likely only going to get worse, and I have to face work tomorrow. I am so tired all of the time. My first pregnancy was an absolute breeze, definitely a trick from Mother Nature!

I've got the sickness bands but don't seem to be working, I snack on crackers and ginger biscuits and have small meals but nothing seems to make it better, and only makes me feel worse once I've eaten. Does any one know any remedies? Feel so crap Sad

I found that the more tired I was, the worst it was and the more sleep I got, the easier it was to cope. I found that sweet biscuits helped me. And chips. Basically beige, hungover food.

Mine only lasted until 12 weeks...

I've got a 2 year old so it's impossible to get as much sleep as I feel like I need SadI've being eating chips too as I can only stomach plain foods at the minute, I've managed to eat them and keep them down but don't make me feel any better. I can just about bare to eat them!

Smells are really getting to me at the minute too and making me feel awful. We have a brand new sofa and the strong, new fabric smell makes me feel so ill I cant even stand going into the living room sometimes (only when I'm feeling really nauseous). Also the smell of deodorant makes me feel really bad, can't stand to spray myself and I was cross at oh for using it this morning in the room I was inEnvy

Did you just feel sick or did the throwing up come later?

Sounds like you're suffering alright. Hopefully it'll be short lived. Mine was pretty much gone by 11 weeks.

I was rarely sick. Sometimes gagged when brushing my teeth. I did get it again around 20 weeks but the doctor thinks I picked up a bug and my stomach never really recovered.

I found the only thing that really worked for me were antisickness tablets, it took several types to find one and even then it only took the edge off for me.
Sometimes ice lollies helped or keeping ritz crackers and plain rice cakes in my pocket to stuff in my mouth when I started to gag at work.
You have my sympathy, the nausea is dreadful but it will end eventually

Oh god I feel your pain!
My daughter was just turned 1 when I found out I was pregnant with my second so never got any rest either 😭
I had adult sickness both times, smells and the sight of food would make me sick there and then.
Tip for if you start being sick though - drink ready made ribeana as it tastes lovely on the way back up! Honestly it was a life saver for me 😂
