Am I pregnant ? What is happening !

Hey,

So bit of background, I came off the pill 3 weeks ago, I've not had any bleeding of any sort, dtd three days after stopping it and have been feel "odd" ever since.

I did a pregnancy test a week ago because I was damn sure I was, I was tired, head achy, lower stomach ache, sore boobs but it came back negative, so I assumed I was in for the mother of all periods, but nope nothing.

Bear in mind that previously if I had missed two tablets I'd bleed and was like clock work before - I was on the mini pill and that stopped all periods

So, the last three days, I've woken up feeling sick, tried to ignore it, not mentioned it and then today my partner said "you smell really metally"

I know that to taste it is a pregnancy symptom and I have a bit had it, but I've put it all down to being in my head but is him being able to smell metal on me a sure sign that something is definitely happening ?

I just wish I knew what was going on inside - I'm scared to do a test and it say negative with everything that I feel

Probably worth another test as you don't really know where you are in your cycle/ when you ovulated. I do know when I came off hormonal contraception I had very strong "pregnancy" symptoms but I wasn't actually pregnant. I think it was just hormones settling down. However, I also know it's perfectly possible to fall pregnant straight away so fingers crossed for you!

That's what I thought that maybe it's all just hormonal but I can't understand that I can feel like this but not the slightest inclination of a period.

What's spooked me more as my partner has no idea about symptoms etc, so for him to say it out the blue without even knowing it's a thing - makes me think well maybe I am.

I've sent him to get a test so we'll see what that comes back with, I'm hoping not another negative

Do a First Response Early Response test, it was positive for me at 10dpo. Good luck and feel better xx

dpo = days post-ovulation

@Makinbaconpancakes I felt the same after coming of the implant a lot of women that comes of the pill struggle to get there cycles regulated for the first 6 months so don't be surprised if you don't get your period and negative tests! X

So it came back negative

As much as we are told we are fertile immediately stopping the pill, I don't know any women in real life who fell pregnant three days off the pill!

The symptoms you have sound like pre menstrual symptoms and your body gearing up to ovulate.

Besides its better to have one natural period after the pill as it allows your pregnancy to be dated more easily

I got pregnant immediately after stopping the pill. Probably not 3 days after but I didn't have a period - my first bleed was symptoms of a miscarriage.

Sorry that it was negative this time. When I came off the mini pill, my GP told me that you can experience pregnancy symptoms as a result of the change in hormones - could that be it?

It's just frustrating that I have all these symptoms but nothing to show for it - id be happy to have a period as at least then I'd know where I am

Sorry that you didn’t get the result you want. Suggest a cheapie big pack of ovulation sticks from Amazon to get on top of cycle post pill, test your pee each morning - I did this and it worked for me!xx

Trying to concieve is frustrating. You might have a long journey ahead but I hope you don't. Take each cycle at time.

I accidentally forgot to take my pill 2 weeks ago because I was poorly and just didn’t even think about the pill. I normally like you, in the past, bleed if I haven’t took the pill/on time a couple of days after.
It’s been 2 weeks since the last pill and I have been waiting for it to bleed so I can restart the pill. I did have sex 3/4 days stopping the pill but can you get pregnant that quick?!
I have been having cramps for over a week and really sore boobs and wondering if I’m pregnant or if I’m just delayed . X
