Faint BFP or evaporation lines? Please help

Hi, I've done a couple of tests and I'm confused by the results. The top one I did was the first one which I did Thursday night. I've done the bottom one this morning. I've had clear negatives before but never this. I've read about evaporation lines, some people seem to suggest the lines would be grey but some people say you can get blue ones. Is that what they are? Any help would be appreciated. I did try a digital test which didn't work at all.

The first one looks positive. How late are you? Maybe do another one in 2days. The digital one's are not as good for early detection.

Four days. The second one I did was a lot darker on the top half of the line and really light on the bottom half which is why I though it might just be evaps.

Hey, I got my BFP 5 days ago, I ended up doing 3 tests, two pink dye ones and a digital one, I did the pink dye ones first in the morning, but the lines were faint and then I did a digital one in the afternoon and it came up positive within a minute or so . Iv heard the digital ones are not great for deleting early pregnancy, so maybe try getting one of the early response pink dye ones? Also try doing it first thing in the morning when the hormone is ment to be strongest. I will say tho a false positive isn't common, and two false positives would be very unlikely! Let us know how u get on!! Good luck!!

I wish I could post you my tests (I’m new) took 3 days and 8 tests for me to believe it was positive as they were all so faint. Are they Sainsbury’s tests?

LT0689 · 31/03/2019 13:27

@1990carey congratulations!

Cbbr I'm new too, yes Sainsbury's which I've read some comments on here suggesting they're notorious for evaps. I'm not sure as they look blue rather than grey but then the second I did only has half a line. The digital one I did didn't even register that I had peer on it. Maybe I've just managed to buy all of the defective tests lol

I think positive. Get a Firsf Respose Early Response test and try again to double check. Sending you baby dust xx

I’ve always used them and find them extremely reliable. I’d say they’d be fainter if evap. I also did a CB which malfunctioned with a book symbol - think i splashed on it. I think it’s positive, mine took longer than the time to come up and just got a bit darker over the next 3 days x

I would try again in a week.

Neither of them look quite right to me - vertical line on top one is thin and off centre, bottom one has half a vertical line.

Can you get a pink dye test, preferably a FRER? If you are pregnant one of those should give a nice clear line as they are super sensitive.
