Polyhydramnios

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could offer any words of wisdom and experience with being diagnosed with polyhydramnios.

I'm 28 weeks and was sent for a growth scan today. My midwife thought I was measuring too small. The scan picked up that I have too much fluid. Baby is measuring slightly below average for me but has grown nicely since 20 week scan and all looks ok so far.

I was popped on the monitor for a while and baby sounded good. Got bloods on Monday to look for GD. I also have another scan on Friday to check placenta and see the consultant afterwards.

My bump doesn't look too big at the moment but I am constantly breathless which makes me feel poorly.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Thank you for reading x

I had this with dd and ds, but had a huge amount of fluid. I was advised to go straight into hospital if waters broke as it could be risky, but was induced for one in the end. On the plus side, my babies had lots of room to move, so always felt reassured during pregnancy. I was also breathless, but had this from early on in the pregnancies - is breathlessness related to polyh?

Cheers for the reply! Glad your babies were good 😊 yeah I was thinking added protection as I have 3 younger children and a bouncy German Shepard. Cool at least they are looking after me at the hospital which is nice 😊
