Should I ring again??

I rang the assessment unit at around 5am this morning as I woke up with contractions at 3am lasting 30 seconds to 1 min and they were coming every 3-5 mins. They stayed like this right up until around half 11 from 3 o'clock this mornings. They then died down coming every 20 mins. They are now currently coming every 5-8 mins. Should I ring back or should I just stick the pain out. I'm also having bad back pain so I'm assuming it's back labour? Someone please suggest what I should do. X

I would give them a phone call just to be on the safe side, you are never wasting their time! They might then let you know what to do next, either come in or monitor for a while longer.

Have your waters gone at all?

RuskBaby · 29/03/2019 18:10

They will have had a shift change since you called so I would definitely call again just so you are on their radar at least.

@FlowerPowerBecky no I don't think my
Waters have gone but my mucous plug has. I felt very wet last night and had to change and stuff but wasn't a big gush or anything

Could be, it's worth ringing so they are half expecting you

FlowerPowerBecky · 29/03/2019 18:53

I only asked about waters due to policy which is normally they want to see you 24 hours after waters go (even without contractions) due to infection risk.

Go give them a call and see what they say, there really is no harm! And if I makes you feel better with my DS I phoned tons of times before they let me in 😂

Spam88 · 29/03/2019 19:08

Your waters don't always go in a big gush, so if there's any chance they've gone you should get checked out. I hope it all happens quickly for you!

OutAndAbouter · 29/03/2019 19:23

Yes give them a call and reiterate that your waters may have gone last night.

Good luck x

Cosmogirl86 · 30/03/2019 06:32
