When baby is high up so uncomfortable and makes me sick

Hi,

I am nearly 32 weeks pregnant and a couple of times now, when the baby moves really high up, it makes me so uncomfortable for a few hours, makes me feel sick and then I throw up a lot and then it’s all fine again.

Anyone else have this and found any tricks to help it not happen or move baby back down??

Last night I put a cold ice pack on the top of my bump and that helped (but then was still sick) but I’d been uncomfortable for hours by then so baby moving may have been a coincidence!

Have you got a pregnancy / gym ball to bounce on? Or going for a walk for however long you can manage.

I’m 35 weeks now but kept feeling really nauseous around the same time as you (I wasn’t actually sick though) but the baby seems lower now after doing bouncing and movements on the ball.

If you keep throwing up it’s probably worth a doctors visit to check it’s nothing else and to make sure you’re not getting dehydrated. Hope it gets better soon x

I feel very nauseous after eating at the moment depending on where baby is, haven't actually been sick but not far off. I would think some stretches or birthing ball as suggested above would help your little one change position. Hopefully you will find some relief once baby drops x

Lie on your left side if you can -if your working try leaning against something to ease the pressure off.
I have this all the time and it can be so so uncomfortable

Ah thank you all. I had totally forgotten about my birthing ball so I’m so digging that out today.

The first couple of times it happened I just assumed i’d caught a bug but now I see the pattern. Will definitely mention it to my midwife when I see her in a couple of weeks.

Thanks again.
