Early Scan - is it twins ??

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking for some advice, I went for a reassurance scan on Wednesday, and was told I am pregnant but not sure how far I am so to go back in 3 weeks for a rescan.
However... I took a picture of the scan and I'm now terrified that I'm having twins (first pregnancy) can some please give me their opinion!?, the stress I'm feeling is unreal!

I can't tell as the pictures aren't clear but if it looks to you like you are seeing 2 things in the sac it could just be the yolk sac and fetal pole

I think its twins because of the two white things in the sac on the modle picture (left)

The sonographer would have mentioned if they thought it could be twins.
Looks like a singleton to me.

@Ak21031993 wouldn't worry at all. I had an early scan a few weeks ago and it will just be yolk sac and baby. I was confused at first too but was helped by only just being far enough on to see which little blur had the heartbeat. ❤️

Congrats on your pregnancy OP.

I was worried I might be carrying twins, as a strong line of twins in family history.

Tbh twins may have been easier than DS2!

I am carrying identical twins and there were two clear fetal poles at 8 weeks. I am not sure how far along you are but it looks like a single one to me
