Don't know if I'm in labour or not?
Hi 😊 I'm 38 weeks pregnant exactly with my 2nd baby and for the last week I've been having more cervical mucus than usual, and it's been thick and greenish. I had a stretch and sweep 2 days ago and baby was 3/5 engaged and I was 1cm dilated. I lost more thick mucus after that and some dark brown mucus too.
Since yesterday I've been having pain in my bump and a lot of pressure in my groin/bump, but this morning I started having painful contractions, and they were very regular but only lasted 10-20 seconds. I then lost a thick long string of bloody mucus which I think/hope is my 'bloody show'! But my contractions stopped 4 hours ago 😟 I thought I was in labour but I guess not! I did have another stretch and sweep today and I was 2cm and my cervix was only 'slightly' posterior, 2 days ago she just said posterior? So I guess I'm progressing which is good!
Should I expect proper labour soon and is this normal? Is it likely to be hours/days/weeks?
