Bump size

I'm 21 weeks and I feel like my bump has gotten smaller than I was at 17 weeks when it first started to show. When I look back at photos I felt huge a couple of weeks ago but now my stomach is almost flat, just looks like I've had a big dinner. Anyone else experience something similar?x

Bloating occurs. So sometimes I'm totally different sizes too, depending how much I've ballooned or not on top of the belly.

Mine kept seeming to get bigger then go down the following week, I think it was just down to different levels of bloating. It happened mostly between weeks 16 and 20, but all was fine at the 20 week scan. When I woke up bump pretty much always felt tiny. It's only now at 23 weeks that I've felt the actual hard bump get bigger, and I finally have a nice round bump instead of just feeling fat! Grin

@pinksupervisor yeah I guess that's true. I've been googling 21 week bumps to compare and I still feel smaller but had scan yesterday and babies a good size, guess he may be more pushed back x

@Triskaidekaphilia yeah haha once I started feeling the bump getting 'hard' that's when I knew it was really a baby in there and not just last nights dinner 😂

I had a friend, pregnant at the same time as me, who put on virtually no weight over her pregnancy and actually looked smaller at the end of 9 months than she did at the beginning (I didn't see her for several months and worried that she had lost her baby). She was quite a bit bigger than she wanted to be and decided to east very healthily and lose weight while she was pregnant. She is almost 6 ft and had a very healthy, over 10 lb, boy. Is it possible that you are losing weight, while baby is growing? Alternatively, you have got used to your bump? Or the baby has moved? Or your boobs are growing so your tummy looks smaller in comparison?

@Crabbyandproudofit wow yeah you think 6ft she must be quite slender to not see the difference of the bump growing but congrats to her and baby!
I don't think I've put on any weight or lost any but one thing I did notice is that my boobs haven't grew at all! I've always been quite flat chested and they've became tender but don't seem to have gotten any bigger.. 🤷🏼‍♀️

My bump looked smaller at that time than I had looked earlier on. Now at almost 30 weeks and I would say my bump is back and looks bump like. DH commented that he's noticed it really take off in the last week or two. Until then it was definitely on the smaller side.
