Is yolk sac a good sign even with no fetal pole yet?

Depends on how early you are. What did the sonographer say?

AmCanales · 29/03/2019 12:11

Nothing, they sent report to doctor and I should get results today or Monday

How many weeks do you think you are?

AmCanales · 29/03/2019 12:33

Well they said two weeks ago I was like 2 weeks pregnant or 3, so I'm assuming maybe I'm 4-5?

In which case a yolk sac without a fetal pole is what they would expect to see. It’s unusual for them to scan so early unless they are looking for an eptopic pregnancy.

They called they are wanting to do more blood work and talk to me about the results eek I'm so nervous

Still good sign though that no pains or bleeding??

Update: said I'm 5 weeks and what they saw is pretty normal since it was both gas sac and yolk sac. Another ultrasound Thursday and bloodwork was taken today so I'll find out Monday then ultrasound

Hey sounds good, I had an early altrasound at five weeks with yolk sack but no heart beat, they booked me in at 7 weeks where they found a heart beat and everything looked good. I believe the heartbeat can be picked up from about 6 weeks onwards. Best of luck to you x
