I am currently 35 weeks + 3 days, with my first baby a little boy! My BMI is high, so have had a few more scans to check babies growth.
He has always been above the 90th percentile, and we were told that he was 'really big' and they were worried that there was too much water in the amniotic fluid, so we got booked in for another scan two weeks later. Two weeks later time for another scan, and now they are saying his weight his absolutely fine, has dropped below the 90th percentile, and now they are worried because he is no longer following the curve of their chart, so they check the blood flow to the baby and that is way below the 5th percentile the sonographer said "if it was any lower we would be seriously worried" sent me straight to the day assessment unit who told me to really watch my kicks and come straight back if they slow down or stop at all.
Has anyone else experienced this? And what happened next? We have another scan next week, but now I can't sleep because I'm terrified I'm going to miss the fact the kicks have slowed down or stopped. Should I be really worried? Is it really serious? They didn't really say too much at the hospital other then check the kicks and day assessment unit told me to come back after the next scan even if they don't send me there! Just a bit confused and not really sure what to think.. I've tried googling it but it didn't really help much.
