3D/4D scans.

Hi has anybody had one? What’s the best gestation to go? Many thanks!

I was told between 26 and 30 weeks for a 4d scan. After that they're a bit too squished in there and before that baby isn't as developed or has much fat so pictures aren't as good. I went at 28w + 4days and got brilliant pictures and video.

I went at 28+3 and loved it! It was so detailed and 100% worth it.

We went at 30weeks and it was a really good scan, DD looked so much like me it was really weird but nice too (I think she looks less like me IRL though)

I had mine at 29 + 4 and it was amazing!

Going back at 34 weeks for a final peek at him 🙊

We went at about 28 weeks I think, and it was amazing! We could see him sticking his little tongue out and got some amazing pictures 😍 It's also totally focused on seeing the baby move around and so different from the NHS scans which are (quite rightly) much more clinically focused. Enjoy!

I had one at a private sexing scan at 16 weeks. I would definitely recommend! I hadn't read much about it but it was included in the package I went for and I was honestly impressed! The sonographer says it was a great view as I had a full bladder and he was very clear to see, I'm planning on getting another around 30 weeks, i just can't wait to see his little face again! 😊

I went at 30 weeks and I think that was a perfect time. They are recommended at around that gestation.

Don't think I'd get one now, I'm 34 weeks

Having done some research, I kept scans to the mimimum for both of my boys. Two scans-one at 12 weeks the other at 21 (ish) I think.

I had one at 28 weeks during my growth scan as the consultant had a new machine he wanted to play with. Honestly, I found it a little creepy but the pictures were so detailed.

This was mine at 29 weeks and my little man when he was born, the sonographer told me he would have loads of hair too... and he did 😊 it was a lovely experience and I'll be doing it again next time round
