Pattern?

I'm 32 weeks pregnant. It's my second DC but my last one arrived at 29 weeks so I've never been this pregnant before! Anyway, my midwife was emphasizing to me today that I need to keep an eye on baby's movement patterns, not just if they are moving or not. Problem is, I don't think there is a set pattern! She is pretty active in the evenings but not every evening. Last night she was kicking a lot overnight but that's because my ds came into our bed so it was a restless night for everyone! During the day she can be active at times and less active at others, depending on what I'm doing. She moves regularly enough that I've not been worried but I really don't think there's much of a pattern; is this normal?

I didnt have any pattern either. So i just made a concious effort in the evenings when i was laying down eirther in bed or the bath to encourage him to move.

I’ve found it really hard to find a pattern too, esp when I was at your stage. It’s more dependent on what I’m doing than time of day - lying down or eating sugar = kicky baby for me! If I have a busy day I often don’t feel much movement.

Thing is, when I felt movement had slowed down, I phoned triage and went in for monitoring, I made it clear I HAD felt movement, just less and not as strong as before. I felt a few movements while being monitored and the midwife was like ‘ok good, you can go then’ and didn’t see why I was still worried. In the end she booked me for a scan 2 days later....during which the baby wouldn’t bloody lie still for them to take any measurements!! Felt like such a fraud.

Anyway...go with your gut. Every time I’ve oanicked I haven’t felt much, I’ve eaten something sweet and laid down and then she’s moved. The one time she didn’t I went in - they honesty don’t mind and better dogs than sorry.

No pattern here. There were with first two, but not this time.

33 weeks and no real pattern either. I just make sure I can feel movement when still

I'm 28 weeks and we don't have a pattern, really depends on my day and when I rest/eat etc..

I'm 34 weeks and the pattern is just that he's always quiet in the morning, bit of movement during the day but tbh I don't pay much attention as I'm always busy, then he moves constantly in the evening through til I fall asleep. I guess it means if he's quiet at night I should get checked.

But with DC1 there was never any pattern at all! Daily movement, but couldn't pinpoint certain times which were stronger than others.
