Poor you! Mine popped out on Christmas Eve and I couldn't walk or sit for a week! Utterly grim. The anusol suppositories are HEAVEN, get one up you ASAP and enjoy the pleasant bum numbness.

Get hold of some lactulose if you're at all constipated and tbh even if you're not; hydrate like a mofo and increase fruit and veg and brown carbs – you basically want the poo to just fall out with zero effort so you don't strain your pile any further. Wipe with a wet wipe or damp loo paper so it's more comfortable.

Witch hazel on some cotton wool is wonderfully soothing; so is an old herbal teabag kept in the fridge. Eventually the pile will turn numb; it won't go away but you'll no longer be howling in pain.

@burritofan thank you so much for all your advice.. no one tells you about this lovely glamorous side of pregnancy ehh?? I was in hospital last week with severe dehydration and vomiting so I think all the antisickness meds left me unbelievably constipated then trying to go to the toilet has caused this!! I'll get a nice bath now and get sorted with the suppositories 🤣

Hope you're feeling better now. Yup, I learned my lesson from my episode: do NOT strain. If I get constipated now I use a glycerin suppository. Never knew pregnancy involved shoving so many things up my bum.

I try to be religious about water and fibre now – I'm living off stewed apple in the mornings, hummus and carrots as a snack, raspberries are good, dried apricots even better than prunes. But all depends on if you can manage food at all?

@burritofan I got so much relief with them suppositories they are a godsend!! My stomach is feeling fine now no more vomiting- much better than last week! So now I'm just gonna try and up the fibre intake etc. I haven't went to the toilet properly in around a week 😪

I’ve just had my baby 2 and a bit weeks ago and have this. It’s so annoying especially when trying to breastfeed. Used Anusol for a bit but no huge difference so I went walk in and docs prescribed a different ointment. I think it’s helping although not sure. Thinking to try more Anusol again too 🤦🏾‍♀️ Nightmare isn’t it
