Hey all, so I am like a couple of days late, I've been getting some signs, my breasts have been sore, I've been a little tired, a bit emotional, feeling a little nauseous but not much, and obviously as started my period is a few days late. My partner and I had unprotected sex (I came off the pill about 3/4 months ago) when I would have been ovulating.
It's frustrating because I have been getting cramps, as if I'm on my period but no blood at all yet, and I know that this can also be a sign of pregnancy!
Anyways what do other people who've actually been pregnant think? This would be my first pregnancy if I am so I'm completely clueless about all this!
Also when should I do a pregnancy test? I'm getting mixed results when I look online some say 17 days after sex some say a week after a missed period?

If you’re late for your period I would say you’re ok to do one now. Use first urine of the day. The FRER tests are generally really good, or a digital one, but these are much more expensive so depends on your budget.

Do a test first thing tomorrow morning with your first wee.

Frustratingly, all of those symptoms could be either pregnancy or premenstrual symptoms.

If you're late you can test. Ive had both of my BFPs before my period was due.

Good luck

If your period is late then you can take a test. You don’t need an expensive one.

If you're late you should be able to use any urine in the day.

As your period is late I would definitely test now using a pink dye test like First Response Early Results (one of the more sensitive tests out there). Unfortunately early symptoms of pregnancy are very similar to impending AF which makes symptom spotting so difficult!!

Good luck x

Thanks guys! Yah I didn't realise how similar symptoms for pregnancy and periods were until just recently! Very frustrating Haha!
I have a test in my bag, one of the early results ones and with be doing it first thing!

Awe lovely news. Massive congratulations 💐💐

Rememberallball · 28/03/2019 13:31

@1990Carey, so pleased for you. Congratulations to you and enjoy the coming months. I can totally understand the exhaustion as I’m still feeling it at 13 weeks - we keep blaming it on my expecting twin so!!

1990carey · 28/03/2019 20:23

Thanks guys! @rememberallball, Haha bless Haha twins how exciting! I really hope I don't have twins, the thought of one baby coming out of me is scary enough! Haha! Yah doesn't help that I also have thyroid disease! That on it's own is a makes sense exhausted, I'm on medication for it but the pregnancy is messing with it a little bit now! Lol! Thank goodness I have holidays in a weeks time! X

Good luck with the holiday @1990Carey - I can guarantee you’ll spend most of it sleeping!! We took a cruise from 5+5 to 10+6 and I slept up to 15 hours a night the first couple of weeks!!

Make sure your Drs adjust your thyroxine levels during the pregnancy as the hormones do play havoc with your need!!

1990carey · 29/03/2019 15:49

@Remembertheball Haha yah I can see myself sleeping a lot Haha! Yah don't worry I have an appointment to see my doctor about it in two weeks! So should get it all sorted soon hopefully!
