Growth Scan at 37 Weeks

Has anyone had a growth scan at 37 weeks? If so, what was the outcome?

I’ve been referred after a routine antenatal appointment today due to measurements showing growth tailing off. I’ve been measuring two weeks ahead every time I’ve been measured and now I am measuring a week behind. This my 3rd pregnancy but never had this before so not sure if I should be concerned.

Thanks in advance.

I had growth scans every 2 weeks due to reduce movement and fluid levels changing so needed monitoring. Wouldn’t worry too much about it great that they have you booked in for it to monitor baby though.

I had one at 37 weeks as I was measuring small. But they confirmed there was nothing to worry about.

I had one at 38 weeks as my bump measured the same at 36 and 38 weeks. I was really worried but all was fine and DS came out a healthy 7lb 7oz Smile

Good luck xx

My midwife said that can happen when baby engages. The head disappears down into the pelvis so there is less to measure. I really want a growth scan because I’ve been on or above the top line throughout but because it has remained that way, they wouldn’t send me for one. I’m currently 39 weeks and terrified I’m having a 10lb monster!

Thanks for all of your replies. That has reassured me that it’s more of a precaution rather than me thinking there’s definitely something wrong. I think I’m just a bit anxious now I’m nearing the end.

Fingers crossed all is well tomorrow morning!

Update:

All was fine and estimated weight is 6lb 3oz.

Had to see the Snr registrar as head has shown no growth since 34 weeks and has dropped to the 5th percentile. They’re not concerned and don’t want to reassess so I’m fairly confident everything will be ok.
