I am 9 weeks and started taking nitrofurantoin for a uti. Now been told today the most recent urine sample came back negative. I am concerned about taking antibiotic in first trimester. Do you think I can stop them?

It’s definitely a good idea to ask your doctor about this - they know more about that kind of thing than the average person on the Internet. You should always take antibiotics exactly as instructed by a doctor, so it’s time to check if the instructions need updating.

UTI's are famously terrible for false negatives. I'd complete the course as prescribed.
