Nitrofurantoin

Has anyone taken this during the first trimester. I am taking it at 9 weeks. It is recommended by NHS but less so in USA which has made me anxious.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated?

Is that the antibiotic? If so, yes I'm sure that's what I took from week 4-26 of my first pregnancy for recurrent UTIs.

No problems with it here. Child is now 3.

That is really helpful yes it is antibiotic for UTI. I have totally freaked myself out. How often did you take it? Thanks so much

I think twice or three times a day I can't remember exactly.

It's safe in pregnancy, don't worry. You're at more risk from the UTI so keep taking it!
