4weeks pregnant and bleeding

Im sorry if there already is a thread for this.

I found out I was pregnant about 4 days ago after trying for 18months to concieve. Last night I went toilet and noticed blood and the same this morning. It's bright red blood almost like a period, I phoned 111 and sent me straught to A&E and done 2 pregnancy tests there which was positive and had bloods and my cervix checked, my cervix is all good. But what's upset me is the nurse said implantation bleed and to get some rest. Then a Dr who seemed to not know what was going on said it could be implantation or miscarriage but because I'm so early on in the pregnancy it's hard to tell.

She was so blunt and uncaring towards me questioning why I would do a test so early and said I shouldn't have done that.

I've come home unsure and more confused than before.

I was wondering if anyone else has been through similar before and things turned out well?

Sorry for long post.

X

@mummared I had a bleed at 4 weeks, is it when you wipe or is it going onto a pad? Is it heavy? Are you getting cramps?

No one can tell you what is happening without a scan, I had one at 4+3 and then again at 5+3 and baby was in there then.

At first was when I wiped, now I've got a pad in. It's almost like a period but no cramps or pain. I would usually have my period around now I think, I wish I kept note of them abit better now I'm in this position :( they refused to scan me said it was too early.

I just hope and prey I'm not losing the baby. They said if the bleeding gets worse or start passing clots to then go back to the ward.

Just had a call from the hospital regarding my bloods. The nurse said too test in a week and if comes back positive then it's implantation if not, I've had an early miscarriage. Guess it's just a waiting game :(

Flowers waiting is hell, I hope you get a positive result

They wouldn't see anything on the scan as it is way too early so there was no point scanning I'm afraid. It is unfortunately just a case of wait and see. I had implantation bleeding with my daughter and everything turned out fine. Good luck and I hope time passes quickly Thanks

@mummared try not to worry to much, I have had 3 bleeds so far and I am 10 weeks xx

mummared · 27/03/2019 17:33

Im so worried the test will come up negative. Do you think if I do a test first thing in the morning, it's too soon? Xx

I bled at 5 weeks for a week straight. It was dark though, went to docs and they said to wait it out. I had a scan at 8 weeks as had a MC before. All was ok.

It's so difficult just waiting. You can test any time really, but if you have stopped bleeding, put yourself of pelvic rest. So no sex, no gym. Go easy on yourself . I'd say test tomorrow and then in a week. FX for you OP X

I had implantation bleeding at 4 weeks but that was 4 days before I had a positive test. It lasted about 2 days to. Only at wiping first, then within about an hr I started bleeding through my pjs and needed a panty liner for the day. I also had a little the next day. DD is now 7 months. I hope you get that positive again OP.

mummared · 27/03/2019 17:57

Thank you for all your replies. It feels me with abit of hope and positivity! I'm still having all symptoms like nausea and metal taste in my mouth, I'm glad the bleeding has stopped so hoping I still get that positive test! If I get a negative tomorrow or faint line I'll give it a week if I'm still having symptoms and test again xx
