Im supposed to be due on 8th November (according to my dates, Dr has me at 1st November from LMP, I also think I might have got the ovulation dates a little wrong, I was trying to use LH strips properly for the first time), but after some spotting last week, went to the EPU and was scanned. Saw an empty gestational sac measuring six weeks.

Did not look good and was told that the chances of there being a good outcome were 'unlikely'. Nevertheless, had bloods drawn 48 hours apart- 14644 and 22181. 53% increase, not the minimum 60 I was hoping for, but still rising.

Nurse doing the second lot of bloods said it was odd that I would have a first hcg level that high and not see anything also that the spotting I was describing (tiny bit of brown when I wipe) was nothing shed be concerned about, and when I got the second levels, she said that it was encouraging but the only real way to know was a scan. It was scheduled for Wednesday.

Friday evening, she called and said shed gone over my chart with the doctor and they both agreed that the initial number was very high for such a small measuring sac, and they wanted to get to the bottom of it.

Ectopic pregnancy has been ruled out. Spotting has stopped completely.

Now I have a scan for tomorrow morning first thing.... and I feel sick. I cant watch tv, I cant sit still, I just feel sick and all I can see in my head is the last scan. Im supposed to be revising for college exams but I cant remeber a word Ive written since 8am this morning.

Has anyone experienced anything like, this or have any words of advice? Any would be appreciated. I feel like Im going insane :(

So are you around 8 weeks? There should defo of been something on the screen but there is always a chance you ovulated later! Try not to worry to much and just take each day as it comes 💗

I would have been 7 weeks by LMP when I had the scan- but I know I wasnt 7 weeks, the maximum I could have been was six... but if I got my ovulation wrong (and Im hoping I did!) I could have been far closer to five weeks IYSWIM. Thats what Im hoping is that I got my dates wrong and it was jut a bit too soon.

Its just driving me crackers- normally Sundays dont have enough hours in the day between getting kids ready for school, dinners and hobbies- but the kids are with their dad this weekend and time is just crawling Sad
