Hellooo!!

I am really struggling with morning (all day everyday) sickness!

I am struggling to find things to eat that I can keep down, or even stomach the thought of!

Any suggestions?? 🥺🤞🏼

Crisps crisps and crisps!

TurquoiseLagoon · 24/03/2019 16:17

I managed
Rich tea biscuits
Croissants
Cornettos
Plain yogurt maybe with honey added
Watermelon
Apples from the fridge, cold and crispy

Lovelylugs · 24/03/2019 16:17

I lived on McDonald's fries and icebergers icecream for a couple of weeks when I was really bad. Dry crackers, ginger ale, ginger biscuits and not preparing my own food. I just bought from deli.

flowerstar19 · 24/03/2019 16:18

Mashed potato!

kiki22 · 24/03/2019 16:19

I basically couldn't eat anything at all during my second pregnancy everything tasted horrible made me gag and I never felt hungry.

My midwife basically said eat whatever you can so I ate plain bland food in front of the TV never made anything myself or the process would make me sick so dp put something in front of me and I ate it without looking. Not ideal but it got us what we needed. I took vitamins too.

Ds2 was a lovely healthy weight so it clearly didn't do him any harm.

dancemom · 24/03/2019 16:20

Dry crackers
Dry toast
Grapes
Milk

sophhhxo · 24/03/2019 16:22

I am so glad it's not just me who is struggling/has struggled with this!

I feel better that you all are so little variety! Off to the crisps cupboard to feed Bean! ;)

Salt and vinegar square crisps
Rich tea biscuits

A couple of the things I’ve been able to tolerate in my early pregnancies

JohnLapsleyParlabane · 24/03/2019 16:24

Plain pasta with a tiny bit of oil and salt.
Cheap white bread with a scrape of butter.
Hula hoops.
Orange lucozade

ElevenOhFive · 24/03/2019 16:28

Cheese on toast

BarrytheFatcat · 24/03/2019 16:29

I basically survived on ice cream and milkshake for most of my pregnancy and my baby was perfectly healthy (8Ib 1oz ).
Just eat what you can and don't stress if you don't feel you're eating enough.

cocodash · 24/03/2019 16:29

Melon, pineapple and fruit pastal ice lollies was all I could manage

MrsJayy · 24/03/2019 16:34

I ate wotsits and quavers they helped a lot them and choice grain krackerwheat if i was feeling not to bad i would put cheese and tomato on them not the best diet but it was all i could really face.

TurquoiseLagoon · 24/03/2019 16:34

I felt bad too that I couldn't eat the healthy stuff (salads turned my stomach) but babies are always fine! Whatever you can keep down is good. And though it seems like it, the nausea won't last forever!

MrsJayy · 24/03/2019 16:41

Oh yes i cut up Melon and kept in the fridge and enjoyed that with my 2nd pregnancy seemed to balance the quavers outGrin

NinnieNouse · 24/03/2019 16:43

Milkshake. It’s the only thing I could keep down for nearly 40 weeks!

OrdinaryGirl · 24/03/2019 16:50

Carr's water biscuits
Belvita Milk & Cereals biscuits

My advice - go for things you don't mind cutting out after you recover. There can be some weird negative associations forged, even with non-food things! - I used to watch Monty Don when I was really nauseous with DS1, and even now, hearing the theme tune turns my stomach....

OrdinaryGirl · 24/03/2019 16:51

Also, I found eating something every hour was the ONLY thing that made the nausea bearable.

daphine2004 · 24/03/2019 16:51

White bread and butter, still and I’m 18 weeks in!

sophhhxo · 24/03/2019 16:52

@OrdinaryGirl I best turn my choice off the TV then! DP might get his turn with the tv until I can stomach food! 😂

Really cold things. Get partner to make a bland sandwich, stick it in the fridge then eat nice and cold so no smell and and not much taste.

White rice.
Dry toast.
Mashed potato.
Crisps crisps crisps. Salt and vinegar were the best for me.

Hope it passes soon, this phase is MISERABLE!

Browniee · 24/03/2019 21:07

Lots of people have said already but I found mashed potato bland enough to keep down. You could add (or get someone else to add) peas to it for a bit of greenery?

Hope you feel better soon 😊

sophhhxo · 24/03/2019 21:39

So all I have stomached today is an apple and a few bags of crisps 😬

Dreading seeing it all again tomorrow morning 🤢

Marmite on pasta, in mashed potatoes, as a drink and all the usual stuff. Nothing could be too savoury.
Ritz crackers, possibly with marmite and Philly.
Beef hula hoops (only time I ever got on with them)
Twiglets... definitely a theme to cures for my nausea.

BillyAndTheSillies · 24/03/2019 21:47

Most days I get through with Frosties and almost freezing pink lady apples sliced really thin.
