I'm really suffering with heartburn and getting through bottles of gaviscon a week. I used to take 20-40mg esomeprazole a day for my hiatus hernia but obv had to stop. Does anyone know is there anything else you can take when preg. Don't want to waste my time at the doc's if I can't. Please someone say you can because I can't stick another 20 wks of this..

You sound exactly like me, I used to go through a litre of gaviscon and eventually I went to gp and was given ranitidine. This did work but not as well as omeprazole. HTH
I also could not take omeprazole when bf either. good luck
