Pregnant after 3 miscarriages

The title says it all really. Just found out I am pregnant after 3 recurrent miscarriages, all since May 2018. No problem conceiving just struggling to hold the pregnancy. Has anyone had similar and had a successful pregnancy?

I've had the NHS tests and they have all come back normal.

Me!! Had ds perfectly fine then had three recurrent miscarriages last year at 6,8 and 15 weeks. And a chemical back in December Currently 12weeks now and waiting for 12week scan on Monday. Terrified somethings gone wrong even though we had a healthy scan at 8weeks.
All tests come back normal and we just unlucky.
Fingers crossed for your sticky rainbow bean Smile

Me too! I've had 3 chemicals in the past year and got a very dark line on a FRER at 10dpo this week. Terrified doesn't cover it. I went to a specialist who gave me aspirin, clexane and pogesterone suppositories after the last one so I am bruised and constipated as well as crampy and nervous Blush

After my first two, I lost babies at 19, 24 and 29 weeks. I have a very healthy 20 year old born subsequently.

I’ve had 2 miscarriages in the last year, 6 weeks and 8 weeks. Now pregnant again. Absolutely terrified. Just taking every day at a time. I hope you’re feeling more positive!

Three recurrent miscarriages for me at 7 weeks, 10 weeks and 11 weeks, all within a year. I had all the NHS tests done as well and nothing came back. I'm now on my 4th pregnancy and I'm 19 weeks tomorrow. Still terrified of losing this one as well, but the support after recurrent miscarriage has been great. I got fortnightly scans up to 12 weeks which helped loads with anxiety! Although it has made getting to 20 weeks harder as I got used to the regular check on baby! Fingers crossed for your next pregnancy!

@Pop1234 thank you. All went well thank goodness. So very relieved. Huge weight off mind and feel I can maybe start to relax and enjoy this pregnancy now.

Pop1234 · 26/03/2019 09:42

@angel0071987 amazing news. This gives me some hope. Did you do anything different this time?

@Pop1234 just took each day as it came marking each as a little victory. Constantly (and still am) knicker watching and often find myself running to loo thinking/expecting to see blood but just increased mucus/sweat. Just got to keep faith and know that it will happen and for whatever reason there was a problem not compatible with life before. Everything crossed for you. Xx

@angel0071987 thank you. I have a scan booked two weeks today with EPU. I'm worrying already though as I've started with backache and feel like this happened with all my other 3 pregnancies. Have you had any backache? I think it could just be a sign of early pregnancy.

angel0071987 · 27/03/2019 11:47

@Pop1234 how many weeks are you? I suffered from severe pgp/spd with my first pregnancy and was on crutches the last three months of the pregnancy (probably in hindsight should have been more than that but had problems physio etc giving them to me but that's another story entirely). This has all meant that my hips and back and pelvis get sore very early on - as early as 6weeks with this one... also the stretching and round ligament pain was bad too. I think some pain is to be expected but def get epu to see you if you can. Trust your body and demand to be seen.

Pop1234 · 27/03/2019 12:25

@angel0071987 I'm 5 weeks now so really early. It's really low down and not painful it is just there if you know what I mean. I was sat quite uncomfortable at a different desk yesterday and it's seems to have come on since then. It's sort of lower back top of my
bum area and goes down my leg a bit.

I rung EPU this morning and the woman was quite ignorant and said it can be normal if it feels like period pain. I said it doesn't really it just sort of aches. She said to take paracetamol as it's to early to scan me. So not very helpful is it?

angel0071987 · 27/03/2019 18:19

Epu are very very difficult getting appointments (or they are here). Very different trust to trust though. They refused to see me in one of my miscarriages and I was left to my own devices to manage it. Not impressed.
If you're super worried contact midwife and gp and demand a referral.
Xxx

@Pop1234 how you getting on?

Pop1234 · 03/04/2019 15:11

@angel0071987 thanks for asking about me. Still doing ok thank you, my early scan is a week today and I'll be almost 7 weeks. Getting a few symptoms so fingers crossed. How are you doing?

Oh reading these makes me feel much better and hopeful!

I have a 17 month old. Total surprise. Easy pregnancy, didn't even worry about anything like this. Since November I've had 3 miscarriages (5, 6 and 6 weeks). My period is due tomorrow but I already know I'm pregnant again (when you've been pregnant 5 times you kind of get a handle on the feeling 😂🤪). But I'm just so worried about miscarrying. Each time I feel less excited about the pregnancy and more anxious for what might happen.

How did your scan go? @angel0071987 ?

lulubella4 · 10/04/2019 13:40

Sorry wrong tag! I meant @Pop1234

Pop1234 · 10/04/2019 19:47

@angel0071987 had my scan today. Measuring just over 6 weeks and a heartbeat. Also didn't have to have an internal so that's a bonus 😂

@lulubella4 sorry to hear about your multiple MC. It's a rubbish thing to happen. I also knew I was pregnant. When are you going to test? Scan was all good today just over 6 weeks. Got another in two weeks 🤞

angel0071987 · 11/04/2019 08:25

@Pop1234 glad scan went well and a good strong heartbeat. So reassuring for all of about a day or so 😂. Hope rest of pregnacy goes smoothly.

angel0071987 · 11/04/2019 08:26

@lulubella4 hope it goes smoothly for you. Try and relax and just take each day as it comes. Scan will come round soon enough (even ehh days seem to drag). 🌈 will happen for you I'm sure :)

Pop1234 · 11/04/2019 08:48

@angel0071987 thank you. I know it only lasts about a day. How are you doing?
