Is it BH if you don't feel the actual contracting?

I'm 39 weeks +1 and for a few weeks I've been experiencing my bump sometimes being rock hard. But I don't actually feel it contract, I can't tell when it's going hard, I'll just happen to notice it's rock hard sometimes. Could that be BH?

More recently I've been having mild tummy ache feelings over my bump and around my lower back which seem to be increasing in frequency and length of time it aches. And the past couple of days I've had a bit of diarrhea (sorry tmi). He feels lower down now as well - so here's hoping these are all signs it won't be much longer!! :)

Yes that's how my BH are this time round. I felt more of a very mild squeezing feeling with DC1, but this time I don't feel anything at all other than rock hard bump when I put my hands on it!

Yep that's BH, I never felt them at all on dc1, midwives would keep telling me I was having one when trying to do a trace (hospitalised from 36 weeks), with dc2 I got better at spotting them but never really felt them unless I poked bump and realised it was hard.

Awesome! It's good to know that I'm actually having BH, it's quite exciting :) Thanks for your replies!
