Weight gain at 14 weeks

Hi all.
I'm feeling quite down about my weight gain atm. Before pregnancy I had lost over 2 stone and BMI was slightly over 25 but I was happy with my body. At my booking appointment at 13 weeks I was weighed and had gained at least a stone and my BMI was 30.6 which makes me obese and I now have to go for the diabetes test :(. Weight has always been an issue for me and the reason I've gained so much is because the only time the nausea subsided was when I ate. Just wondering other peoples experiences because most posts I've read people have only gained 1.5 stone throughout their whole pregnancy
Thanks xxx

I lost weight prior to conceiving and was weighed the morning of my booking in appointment. When I got to the midwife appointment I was weighed over 1/2 stone heavier and also measured as around 2 inches shorter than I actually am. This put my BMI over 30 despite the figures the same morning putting it around 28.6. Like you, this has put me into obese category and automatic pathway for GTT later in pregnancy (which I can’t do the standard way) I’m on the verge of refusing it knowing the measurements were incorrect to start with. I even told the midwife her figures were wrong and she just told me to ignore them - even though they make me a higher risk!!

I’m going to talk to the hospital when I go for consultant appointment - I’m automatically consultant led because I’m old and because I’m having twins!!
