Breastfeeding - easier or harder second time around?

Due my second in the next couple of weeks and just wondering for second time mums how you found breastfeeding? I breastfed my dd but I remember the first couple of months being an absolute nightmare. Was it the same second time around?

I found it easier second time round. But I did find it pretty easy first time too, so not sure how helpful that is, sorry. I think it was easier because I knew what I was doing and was more confident that DS was getting enough milk, wasn't terrified when I woke up looking like Lola Ferrari on day 3 and it was less painful at the start (could be that DS2 wasn't prem so had a better technique).

I found it fairly difficult the first time round and much easier second and third time round! Hoping no4 will be the same but it’s been 8 years so I don’t hold out much hope 😂
I gave up around 11 weeks with dc1 and he had already been taking to the bottle Cos I found it such a struggle! The ‘professionals’ who were trying to help me were evil and would just grab my boob (painfully) and shove his head at it and were just so horrible, decided it wasn’t worth the stress for either of us! Dc 2 fed like a dream for 14 months and refused a bottle eve wen I went back to work, and dc3 fed like a dream until 9 months (I went back to work at 5 months 😞 and struggled to keep up with expressing so it was really the only option sadly)

The second time was much easier. The first time both you and the baby are learning a new skill. The second time you are more confident. I also knew which positions/cushions etc worked best for me.

I asked my midwife when I was pregnant with my second if women who has breast fed their first sometimes struggle second time and she just said no.
